Project_Zeus pre-Alpha Version 1.0

This is a game I have been working on, (actually have not been working on it too hard) for a while now. The idea is that it would be a futuristic hovercraft racing game. Of course, I have currently done everything with stand-in models, and everything is in the pre-Alpha stages. After thinking through this game in my head I though it would be awesome, but after programming it, I don't feel the same way, or maybe its cause I have been staring at this thing for too long. Anyways, here it is, it needs a lot of work to be done. I have named it Project_Zeus, I have no idea why, but its just a codename, I have not though of anything concrete as of yet.

I have compiled it for a 32-bit OS. If there are any compatibility issues, please reply, I can upload the 64-bit version also. Also I have managed to build it for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. I have only managed to test it on Windows so far, please reply with the results on the other versions.

Finally, feel free to commend on anything that you feel like (not the obvious bugs). More Builds to come soon.

Uncharted Waters

"I've run DOOM more in the last few days than I have the last few months. I just love debugging ;-)" -Linus Torvalds

Linux, the Operating System (OS) that changed the world forever. It's funny how a simple concept can make colossal changed to the world we know. The simple idea of having an open-source OS, which basically allows anyone with a brain to modify the code and working of the OS, which means that the whole of man-kind is working on the OS. However, there are those set of people, who love Linux, worship Linux, but in all their divine strength cannot completely switch over to them, people like me, people who love their games.

Indie - the next step

"Breaking down all those expectations and then remaking them is essentially the core mechanic of the game" - Alexander Bruce

Indie games. A few years ago, I had little knowledge of the projects and creativity of these developers. Call it situation, call it ignorance, but I was a passionate gamer who had turned a blind eye to any game developed by an indie developer. Its a lot different now. It started with the kickstart project and further went into the steams green light project. Indie games are getting the recognition that I now believe they deserve.

Inception

Hi! This blog serves as an official page for the Corporate Gamer Game design and review studio. "Design and Review, huh?". As a result of our extremely small organization (just me so far, and the voice in my head), I am not really going to be pumping out games every year and since I am not doing this full time, I would like the website to have content on general happenings in the video game industry, and content I though would be interesting for you to read/share/comment.

This is a complete start-up, and hopefully in the future, this will grow into something bigger.

Let the journey begin!
